Antonio Aguilar graduated with a bachelor's degree in Electronic
Engineering from the Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Ireland in
2003 and a Master’s in Microelectronics with specialization in
System-on-Chip Design from the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH),
Sweden in 2005. Antonio worked as a research assistant at the Department
of Medical Physics and Bioengineering at the University College
Hospital Galway developing RFID and wireless systems for tracking and
monitoring patients. Previously, Antonio worked 3 years as a software
engineer developing embedded systems at Silicon and Software Systems
(S3), Ireland. From 2006 to 2009, Antonio was a research assistant at
the Sensor Networks Group at the Digital Enterprise Research Institute
(DERI). Antonio Aguilar is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Biomedical
Engineering under supervision of Prof. Gearóid ÓLaighin and Dr.
John Breslin at the National Centre for Biomedical Engineering
Science (NCBES). Antonio is also a part-time lecturer in medical
informatics at the Department of Medical Informatics & Medical
Education at the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG). |
